We rode the local bus to Muottas Muragl. The views of the valley and the lakes were outstanding and the pathways at the top gave access to different sides of the mountain.

Visited this attraction on the advice of a local family we met on the train. Probably wouldn’t have visited if judging it only from ground level. Once up the mountain, the views are SPECTACULAR!!!! Went up at sunset...WOW! Don’t miss this view.

Just go and you will understand! Some hotel provide a pass to get there in summer. Otherwise the run is 35€ Not cheap but really worth it

Hotel and restaurant are modern but still in a traditional way. Food is great, the hotel rooms a dream. Fantastic is the philosophy behind: energy neutral place, i.e. Heating is powered by solar panels, most probably the electric power, too.

Lovely romantic dinner recommended by the Palace's concierge. Lovely funicular rail trip up at night on a clear evening - like a movie set - followed by a lovely window table and fantastic food and service. Really was like a little movie. Probably even better...More

Although not obvious some research on internet seems to indicate this does remain open in summer season. Try contacting engadin.stmoritz.ch for more info 🙂
