My wife and I visited Lauterbrunnen in July 2018. We have visited the region before and hiked down from Piz Gloria, which was one of our best hikes ever, but we decided this trip to hike on the Eiger trail. Now personally, we like very...More

Started with a train from Grindelwald up the hill. Lovely views the whole walk .A little bit of uphill but mostly down hill, the straight bits were nice. Ended at a lovely pub then a train back to Grindelwald.

The hike is beautiful. It offers stunning view of the Eiger Nordwand with plenty of highlights along the way like numerous waterfalls, springs, flowers, snow, mighty rock towers and glaciers! Not to be missed!

Great walk and fab views. Best to do it on a day when there is less cloud so views of the eiger will be good. Not too difficult at all.

It took our family with two children aged 9 & 11 about 3.5 hrs to walk from Kleine Scheidegg down to Alpemgen. It's well worth the walk and going downhill suited us; though just as many people crossed the other way. Near the start at...More

This is a great trip offering perfect views of the valley and the Eiger wall. Track can be closed in case of snow fileds.

We spend 1/2 day walking up and down the trails and soaking in the town. Not to be missed! We enjoyed the binders which were left on benches which gave tidbids about what was in your line of sight. It was so informative and quiet....More
