    Beautiful lake
Amazing city on the shores of this beautiful lake. Has the mountains in the backdrop for instagram photos. Pick a spot on a terrace for a drink or meal and just enjoy the views. Easter holiday time was great as not to many tourists and did not really have to book a restaurant .

    Wonderful boat ride on lake
We took the boat from Weggis to Luzern after visiting Rigi. The trip was wonderful from the views from the boat, seeing the stops and the pictures of surrounding areas. Worth it to take time to go back that way with seating inside and outside to enjoy. Picturesque views the whole way.

Put Lucerne on your bucket list.
Two senior sisters early 70’s traveled for three nights after Viking Rhine river cruise for 3 nights. Hotel Central 2 blocks from train/tram station, and the covered bridge. Neat simple rooms, delicious breakfast included. Food in city fabulous. View from hotel Montana deck gorgeous. Lake Lucerne cruise lovely, crystal clear mountain water, swans and castle or 2. Gondola to mt Pitalis a must do!

Best Seen on a Clear Day
We were scheduled for a tour by boat on Lake Lucerne. While we could see some things, we were out on a very foggy day. It made for poor photos and a bit of a disappointment. This is obviously no one's fault! It just means I have to go back on a nice day!

    Shearings holidsy to Switzerland
We holidayed on the shores of lake Lucerne Hergiswil Hotel seepilates Travel was on a shearing coach trip Hotel was amazing and I’ve done a separate review It was a wonderful holiday only mared by one of the crew or shearings false information . Day to Engleberg was clearly documented that you would have opportunity to go on the revolving gondala at your own expense . We understood that and we’re happy to pay but the issue was for some unknown reason crew member did his best to discourage everyone from going up mt titlis . Even threatening us saying we would have to make it back to resort on our own . This resulted in the whole bus apart from 4 of us frighted to take the risk So if you are thinking of going on this wonderful holiday double check with shearings regarding this . Four of us went up and it was the highlight of the week and we made it back to bus in time

I would normally say in a review of a lake that "it's a lake" and give it three stars. This lake, though, rates four stars because of the views. We didn't actually go out onto the lake but did wander along the shore for a long time looking across the clear blue water towards the mountains (some snow-capped). And there were lots of boats to see, and swimmers, and white swans, and the lovely city of Lucerne itself, and restaurants, and cooling ice creams. Maybe it should even be a 4.5!

    Love love love Lucerne
I took the train from Zurich, spent the day in this city, and fell in love with it. The lake is calm and so beautiful. You can take a ferry to other villages or just a scenic ride. The lake adds so much life and calmness to this scenic area. A definite must-visit.

Nice day trip to lake Lucerne
Nice place to visit. We took the train Basel to Lucerne for the short day trip. The lake is beautiful with lots of places to relax shop and many restaurants around with great views. We took the ferry lake Lucerne to Bürgenstock only an hour return journey which was sufficient having only a limited time here. Definitely recommend this place.

You’re going to see this lake no matter where you go if you’re passing Lucerne. It’s huge and stunning. Take a boat ride across and you’ll get an unforgettable panoramic view.

Lake tour with the boat is the best and budget friendly option. Buy the tickets at the counter. Half fare card was not applicable.

Beautiful blue lake with backdrop of snow-capped mountains. There are wonderful walkways along the edge of the lake and chances to enjoy scenes of boats coming and going and many different waterbirds.

It’s a massive lake that’s very peaceful and calming. I did a daily walk along it (with many locals) and it was really good in nice weather and bad weather to be at.

Lots of activity on the lake with boats etc, I did a boat cruise to Mount Rigi and the boat ride was just as enjoyable as visiting Mount Rigi.

I can see why Lake Lucerne is the number 1 on Trip Advisor, make sure you spend some time enjoying the natural wonder.

A sunny summer day, a cruise on the sparkling Lake Lucerne and a sightseeing tour with desserts on deck is no doubt a wonderful experience, but imagine how unforgettable it would be to arrange a sailing on a pleasant summer evening or a few days before Christmas, towards the Sea of Light, the town of Lake Lucerne (Lucerne)! The reason is actually the mysterious atmosphere on the lake during the autumn mists, or because of the smoke blowing in the wind as the motorboat slowly sails across the lake. The experience of sightseeing in the warmth and comfort of the saloon motor boat, with the snowy winter scenery outside the window, can only be described as a complete relaxation of mind and body.
