Well-kept botanical gardens within Geneva with a number of exhibits, and free entry. Peaceful get away from the city.

I was just out walking one morning along the lake, and came upon the Botanical Gardens, unexpectedly. I couldn't believe it was free! I was wishing I had my grandkids with me, as there was a lot of fun things to appeal to youngsters: animals,...More

Le Jardin Botanique is like a miniature Kew Gardens. Lots of flora in different areas like a Japanese/Chinese garden, a beautiful tropical greenhouse building, meadows, herb gardens etc. They are kept immaculately and was lovely in the hot weather just to sit amongst in the...More

Many cities tout a botanical garden, and some disappoint. This one does not. Full of beautiful plants AND sculptures AND fountains AND a botanical library AND a wandering peacock and a greenhouse .... VERY near the UN and the Broken Chair sculpture.
