Beautiful park!
We found the park while walking around the city in the late afternoon and had the sweet surprise of finding a skating rink in front of the cafe, renting it for an unlimited period cost 2 francs per person. A lot of fun to play!

Right at the centre of city life, it’s a great amenity for locals and visitors alike. Replete with flora there are grand pathways through.
An area set aside with large chess boards is a popular attraction both for those taking part and spectators.
A major installation is the Reformation Wall that impressively commemorates the prime instigators of the movement that transformed countries and societies.

One of the city's main parks. Worth the visit. It's not big, there's the Reformers' Wall, a place to walk, play giant chess, toys for children, etc.
And it is located in a beautiful and touristy part of the city.

The Parc des Bastions is a large and centrally located park and it offers an assortment of activities to do and see while visiting.
There is the Reformation Wall, Library, University, Palace, games area, kiosk/restaurant, public restrooms, and a selection of nearly 150 trees from around the world. There are many benches and statues along the walking trial. I spent more time at the Reformation Wall with the large statues of Calvin, Farel, Beze and Knox behind the moat.

The park is a lovely promenade lined with trees featuring some of Geneva's well known attractions, The Giant chess board, Reformation Wall, Statue of Frankenstein. This is the first botanical park of Geneva attracting locals and tourists. The park is beautiful, serene and very lovely to walk in.

This is a nice green space a short distance from Old Town and central Geneva.
There are statues throughout the park and a decent sized cafe in the middle of the park.
It is nice and quiet and a good place to pass a couple of peaceful hours.

Cute Christmas Market. To be fair, it is hard to say our experience was as good as it would have been if we had better weather. It was rainy and it was also Christmas Eve. So many of the events may have been cancelled and some of the huts were shut. Very cute atmosphere with chandeliers hanging from trees etc. It was mostly food vendors and merchants selling their products while we were there. There wasn't much shelter from the rain so we didn't stay long. But, since we arrived on 12/24 and it was the last day, we wanted to check it out. Note: we learned that all of the Christmas markets in Switzerland end on 12/24. So, try to go before then if you want to go to the Christmas Markets. In general, it seemed like not a whole lot to do here if you are going outside of December. Try to plan to see another site nearby and walk through here rather than making this your only destination.

A beautiful parc to stroll, relax and getting a lot of information about the past.
A lot of very nice sculptures and benches to sit and contemplate.
Next to the entrance are public toilets and chess fields.

Loved our visit here and going to the Christmas Market. We popped in to see the Freedom Wall then stumbled into the market that was going on. Really nicely lit, and we LOVED the spherical fire pits dotted around - really good to warm yourself. Shared some crepes between our party, which went down really well on a cold evening. Mulled wine may have been imbibed. Good fun all round. Oh and the kids got to talk to the the horses stationed outside !
