This is a beautiful church chalk with history. Pay 5 Francs to “climb” the tower. However, this is a difficult climb for those who are not steady on their feet. And there is a requirement of 2 people at a time, you cannot climb alone....More

A great architecture site in the heart of the city. Worth going to see the building, but highly recommend paying the CHF5 to climb the Spire for the best views of Basel!

What this cathedral lacks in size and splendour it more than makes up in atmosphere. Situated on the bank of the Rhine it looks great from the river and from the square in front of it. The inside is full of character with an atmosphere...More

I love this church. When I studied abroad in Germany, we would travel to Basel and spend the afternoon in the church courtyard. The view of the Rhein River is breath taking and totally worth seeing from the church. Also, musicians and dancers would perform...More

Great, old church with awesome views overlooking the Rhine River. Very nice keepers in the church. We arrived there late and a kind gentleman offered to personally escort us first thing the next morning.

Basel Munster Cathedral with breathtaking views of the Rhein, the Kleinbasel district, the black forest & the Vosges. Dates back to the 15 century. We climbed up to the tower not for the light hearted as the platform is very narrow to walk around.

Yes, its 2 SFR pp. But sometimes they only let a minimum of 4 people go up. Why? Haven't a clue.

Yes, it is free to tour, I didn't climb the tower, but the church and grounds are free.
