The market place in Basel is a picturesque and medieval looking piece of architecture. The red town hall is really an eye catcher. Yes, things around here are rather expensive.

Cozy city center surrounded by bourgeoisie architecture and a beautifully restored city hall. Get fresh produce or lunch. Don't miss out on the fresh mushroom risotto and one of the stands.
