You can have a combined ticket and the library is just steps away from the duomo. It is a must when you visit SIena. The wonderful colered books to see, the frescos on the wall are just incredible.

Been here before on a flying visit a good few years ago. So glad I went again without the time pressure of a tour bus having a fixed time to return to Florence. I could spend a lot more time appreciating the awesomeness of the...More

What a surprise this was! My daughter wanted to stop in so I went with her while my husband and other daughter moved on to the crypt. We didn't spend long in here, but it was so interesting.

This small library off the left side of the Duomo of Siena is like a jewelbox. The walls and ceiling are covrred with fine paintings, gilding and painted ornaments. At eye level, a series of cases are mounted on the walls to display marge illuminated...More

A room lined with illuminated manuscripts under glass, with a beautiful frescoed ceiling and walls. We didn't know it was there until we entered the room.
