The group of towers in this medieval town have dwindled in number over the years, but they are still the main attraction. A climb to the top of the bell tower provides an outstanding view of the city within the walls and the countryside beyond....More

The bell Towers of San Gimignano are visible from miles away but are even more spectacular when viewed up close. Well worth a visit.

Take a deep breath, pay the entrance and just climb the steps. It's not narrow until the last 10 steps at the top but boy is it worth it!!

Great for a birds'-eye view of San Gimignano and the fields around it. Make sure you aren't bursting at the seams because the short final ladder to the belfry is, well, tight. I was glad we did this before the gelato orgy.
