Not only the beautiful facade, but the interior frescos are worth to see. From outside most probably you don't realize how big it is. Nice glass windows.

If it rains in Pisa, look out for churches for a sit down and shelter. Santa Caterina is unusually bare and with no lighting but with a huge far away window it has a special atmosphere.

Chiesa di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria is a small church built in the 13th century and located about half a mile to the east of the Cathedral of Pisa. It has beautiful stained glass windows.

This is a very simplistic church that doesn't have much art... and is utterly dark, to the point the austel doesn't even show on the pictures i took from about 15 feet. Skip this.

This cathedral is absolutely outstanding and completely free to tourists. There is so much to see and take in its almost overwhelming. The amount of architecture, sculpture, art combined with religious artefacts is quite amazing.

When you walking on Via G.Oberdan towards Ponte Di Mezzo and not so busy to do shopping, on the left side you can see beautiful small church.
