A nice piazza with lots of interesting shops and restaurants. There are no cars allowed, so it is very pleasant to just wander and enjoy the atmosphere.

This relic of a Roman amphitheater is interesting in its' oval shape for a piazza, the interesting yellow-shaded buildings, and great people-watching. Certainly touristy, there is a mix of locals that do come through the piazza on their daily business. Be aware that you will...More

It is pretty and knowing the history here helps to put it in perspective. The restaurants and bars are okay. More geared towards the tourists and expensive.

I love Lucca, and this is for me, the best spot. Lots of small shops, cafes, and restaurants. Good spot to relax, and watch the procession of humanity.

This square was designed by the architect Nottolini in 1830. He demolished some of the buildings that were in the centre to create the square. Great place these days to grab a drink or a meal in One of the many restaurants encircling the square.

Whilst this is a tourist hot-spot, when you sit outside at one of the restaurants for food or drinks, you feel as if you are in a different world - peaceful and tranquil. Strange! A delightful setting where you can relax and watch the world...More

We usually ended up here late afternoon and at the end of the night for a drink and some people watching. The weather made it a great place to sit and watch the world walk by.

Atmospheric. Great place to look around the shops and enjoy an aperol in the sunshine. Use a map to get to it easily

No mistake, this place is wonderful and atmospheric. The perimeter is bars and restaurants, and the centre is an open space for the world to walk through. Have a long lunch and enjoy.
