This 19th century piazza has undoubtedly the best panoramic view of Florence. The square is decorated with copies of Michelangelo's sculptures, but it's the view people come here to see.

Usually packed with tourists trying to take the well known shot of the city but quiet when we went in early May. 25 minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio, last ten minutes steep steps. Worth the effort.

We enjoyed the views so much we hiked up to the Piazzale twice during our stay in Firenze. This is a photographer’s paradise.

Absolutely breathtaking. The views of Florence as the sun sets are not to be missed. Our waiter Mimmo was terrific! Funny, charming. A great experience.

Nice walk up to an incredible view of Florence. Perfect for sunset pictures of the city. A little crowded, but that also made it fun. Great restaurant right on the square after the sunset.

Piazzle Michangelo is located across the Arno River from the historic area of Florence. Located high on a hill, it is mostly a stop for a photo op, since the views of the city, including the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio, are spectacular! Nice place...More

Incredible view over Florence, but be prepared for crowds and vendors with junky trinkets and souvenirs. If it's busy, just wait your turn for a spot along the wall for an amazing vista. I rode up here; I did not walk, so I can't comment...More

We came here on a foggy morning and while we couldn’t see far, we still enjoyed the view of Florence from the top.
