To avoid the crazy crowds and potential pickpockets, go to one of the bridges on either side of the ponte Vecchio to take your photos. If you do want to cross it, try going over in the early morning or late at night for a...More

You have to battle the tourists and the crowds to cross over and see the place. Very high end jewelry stores on the bridge better for browsing than buying. Unless a suitcase of Euros is weighing you down and you have to spend it. It’s...More

Fun to see but other than looking at it the shops were okay... I wouldn’t say it’s a must see but if you walk past it snap a few pictures.

The bridge is essentially a jewelry mall with a small open span for enjoying a view of the river. There are several jewelry stores offering a grand variety of merchandise.

Not sure why tourists come here. It is to all intents an old stone bridge lined with mostly jewelry(?) shops which no one seems to patronise. Lots of people as expected. Must be my third visit in a decade and things do not appear to...More

A beautiful bridge and excellent photo opotunity from every angle. On the site of a Roman original the main construction is from about the 14th Century. Most of the buildings on the bridge are now jewellry or art shops with great range (at the upper...More
