Robert Capa Retrospective
Jul 2018 • Family
Not far from the main action, this gallery is worth looking at as it has very interesting exhibitions.

The day we went we saw the Robert Capa Retrospective and Alexander Rodchenko exhibition. Photographers from different eras, and both fascinating.

Capa was the main exhibition and the entrance price included audio, which was well worth it. To see his photos of Sicily and Palermo during the war resonated and made sense of why the exhibition was there. I don't remember what the entrance price was, but it wasn't overly expensive seeing the caliber of artists being exhibited.

The building itself is very historic and lovely architecture.

This very beautiful palazzo in a leafy area was intended to cater for the city's poor who couldn't afford to pay rent in the late 18th c. The bust of the benefactor stands in the main courtyard (there are three courtyards, giving an idea of how large and imposing it is). Nowadays it is used for art exhibitions.
