We recently had a private cooking class with Patrizia. She was warm and welcoming from our first meeting in the piazza. She first took us to some shops near her home to buy ingredients for our class. We then cooked with her in her cozy loft and made the most delicious dishes. Patrizia is very knowledgeable and talented on all things wine, food and Sicilian. We definitely feel as if we have made a new friend in Sicily.

Our group of four agrees that the meal that Patrizia cooked for us was one of the best in Sicily and on a rainy day her cozy apartment was lovely. The trip through the market was quick with Patrizia to select the food for the meal. bWe anticipated more of a cultural learning component and not just a quick stop at the stands to get what was needed. In other places we have sampled market foods, learned about the local foods as we shopped and had more of an experience. We did not do that much actual cooking. I think a better description of this activity is to think about it as a personal chef prepares a Sicilian meal. We also agree that it was a very expensive meal. The wine was quite good but none of us drinks that much.

Asked for information on the cookbook they are publishing, but never heard anything about it. The meal was great, the company was fantastic. We felt welcome and more as friends instead of customers.
