Must-see!!!
Aug 2020
Impressive building and gorgeously decorated inside. Highly recommend to walk there without rush to feel the atmosphere and spirit of this place. If you get to climb to the roof, you'll get the chance to enjoy he most beautiful view in the city.

A truly stunning cathedral in Centro Storico
Jul 2020
Palermo Cathedral is an immense structure situated in the Centro Storico area of the city, I was amazed by the sheer scale of the building when I first saw it. The cathedral was created in 1185 by Walter Ophamil who was the Anglo-Norman archbishop of Palermo at the time. There is a mixture of architectural styles with additions and extensions that were added after the original building was completed. I visited shortly after the Covid-19 restrictions were relaxed, it was very quiet when I was there in July 2020 but most of the attractions within the cathedral were accessible. I spent a while inside the cathedral which was truly stunning and wished I had the time to stay longer. It is a place that must be explored whilst in Palermo.

Pay the 10 euro!!
Oct 2020
Although the Cathedrale is stunning to just visit for free, you really should pay for the 10 Euro access to the roof and the catacombs underneath.
Stunning views from the roof, but the historic artefacts under the Cathedrale in the catacombs are breath taking!

Lovely spot
Oct 2020
Peaceful place to visit and if you are fit and healthy, a climb on the roof gives a great view of the city. Gardens are lovely with plenty of benches to sit.

Beautiful cathedral
Aug 2020
Very beautiful building, but much more impressive outside than inside. Might be worth to go to the tower for the view.

Beautiful Church and the roof top is worth a visit just for the view
Oct 2020 • Couples
Beautiful church , from outside, inside, its okay i guess, but don't have high expectations, but the outside is very beautiful. The roof top visit for €5 is well worth it. It is a very steep climb so not for everybody, but take your time and do it , the view from the roof is breath taking .'

Fabulous Cathedral in the heart of Palermo, peaceful and serene in a bustling, busy city. Male time for a visit and reflect.
