We were completely in awe of this amazing Cathedral in the centre of Palermo. This is a place that visitors must see when in the city to appreciate the rich history of Palermo.

The outside of the Cathedral is beautiful, the layout of the area and the fact that it is so well maintained make it all the more special. We visited the Cathedral around mid-day and it was obvious that they were preparing for a wedding. This...More

In the historical center of Palermo: this Norman cathedral is a must see attraction. Nice garden around and some stone bench to rest.

Buy the ticket for the roof only as the royal tombs are not worth it. The view from the rooftop is great though. There are many steps to climb and only small groups are allowed to go up at a time. The outside is beautiful...More

Interesting cathedral - a shame we did not get to see the Norman tombs but the rest was fascinating. A good hour to spend.

Unusual inside - a mix of different architecture! 8 euros allows you onto the roof, into the crypt and morselium. Not that big, but well worth the money. The main church is free to visit - need to dress appropriately, if not cover ups are...More

If you do have the displeasure of coming to Palermo, then the only nice thing you can visit is this. It's beautiful.

Me and my partner visited the beautiful Cathedral. We took the open roof tour. Sadly, I agreed my shorts were too short for the dress code and purchased a 1 euro cover up. However, it soon became clear that others had not followed this rule...More

Visited in May..our air bnb apartment was directly opposite this magnificent cathedral. Very beautiful inside..worth paying for the visit to the royal tombs, and the rooftop walk.
