Worth a detour from the centre and the steep walk down. It appears to have been well restored. The slight issue is that you have constant road noise. The ladies offer a brief guide in various languages including English.

The fountain is at the bottom of a hill, almost under a large bridge. The fountain was a bit dirty with algae growing on some parts. There was no entrance fee, but no facilities or information at the fountain.
