It is nice but when I was there the road under was buy with traffic so it was hard to get a good photo, compared to continuing a few yards when you are in the pedestrian area of the old town

Gate is good to see overall and in a busy area with main attractions in Verona with Piazza Bra and Arena to visit.

Wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this gate as I don’t think they are amazing see it’s really a quick look and photo then enter Piazza Bra.

'The gateway to the city'. We passed here whilst walking around the area as it is close to all the main sights in the centre.

This is a pretty gateway but is not outstanding. That said it is a must see when you are in the area and looking at the other nearby attractions.

I luckily captured a photo of this gate leading into Piazza Bra. Arched gates are always impressive.
Besides the Arena, Palazzo Berbieri is noteworthy. Our tour guide pointed this building as being significant. After researching, it is considered the same architecture as our White House and Monticello: Palladian Style after Palladio. Basically, Palladio's work was strongly based on the symmetry, perspective, and values of the formal classical temple architecture of the Ancient Greeks and Romans. I think the columned covered section in the front might be called The Portico. It sounds a little like our word, porch.

This is right next to the arena area so very easy to visit and not much of a detour. Very quick to see and take a photo, but impressive arch!

I took the bus from Porto Nuovo Train Station, to Piazza Bra. It was less than a 10 minute ride. When approaching the piazza, you knew you were in the old town section. This amazing gate was like a welcome to all of the town's visitors. It made me think of how it must of been, back in the day, to approach the gate. It looks as if guards in gladiator attire were posted at this gate, to secure the town.

One of the gates of the old city center. Beautiful and very well preserved. One you pass it you’ll see the Arena of Verona.

One of the doors of Verona. Very well preserved and when you pass under it, you will find the Arena of Verona.

The medieval gates of Bra will welcome you to the epicentre of Verona, the Piazza Bra and the Amphitheater. Nothing too special, but history buffs will enjoy what others may view as mundane
