A very beautiful basilica, one of the most atmospheric in Verona. The three levels and sympathetic decor are not to be missed.

They had music performance students practicing the piano in the basilica and it was breathtaking. You could hear it in the cloisters, crypt and bronze door entrance. Wonderful! They were playing Debussy. Art work is great but the music created such an overwhelming feeling. I...More

You can visit for free on Sundays, but you'll need to time your visit in between masses. Otherwise, there is a fee on weekdays, so make you have the excellent value Verona Tourist Card. Lots to see in the church and the crypt. Quite awesone,

The Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore in Verona is well worth the train trip from Venice. It is about 75 miles and easily accessible by rail. In fact, there are buses across from the train terminal that go quite close to the basilica. The basilica...More

This is a lovely church. Impodong nave, wooden roof, an imposing altar with excellent paintings. The exterior is also remarkable.

It was unusual to see the crypt and the chancel separated this way. Certainly worth visiting if you don't mind a bit of a walk. I would however pick the main Duomo if you only have time for one.

Hi, you can find the ticket at the entrance and this include other churches too. The audio is inside the church, but you will find someone there very helpful. The tour is less than 1 hour but it worth. Enjoy it :)

At the entrance of the 4 historical churches of Verona there is a basket where you will find some kimono that you can put over naked shoulders or wear if you are dressed with pants or skirt too short. This is a free service.
