Very low-key exterior but a fabulous interior. The ceiling is just unbelievable. Once again, I wish I had read more about it and the painter before I arrived. No queues and very few people. Not so very simple to find but well worth it when...More

Plain exterior but the interior hides a hidden gem. The ceiling houses the largest oil painting in the world. Pay the $2 euro to see it with lighting.

So glad I saw this reviewed on Tripadvisor before I went as I would never have looked twice at this church from it's plain exterior. Inside though you get a masterpiece suspended high above you. An extraordinary work of art in a church with no...More

You would never think that this abandoned-looking church housed anything beyond pigeons but you would be wrong. It's free to see the biggest canvas painting in the world, on the ceiling, depicting the Martyrdom and Apotheosis of St Pantalon, painted by Giovanni Antonio Fumiani.

Interesting neighbourhood. A bit off the beaten path. Outside is rather obscure. But inside. Incredible Fresques. And it's free to visit. Maybe not must see. But if you are walking around - come and check out.

Don’t let the outside fool you, it’s the most inconspicuous of churches but wow what a hidden gem! The ceiling is a great work of art worthy of a detour!

Beautiful ceiling, the artwork is breathtaking. Certainly worth a visit. €1 to light the ceiling is certainly worth it.

The craftsmanship & skill in the ceiling has to be seen to be believed. How they achieved the perspective is a wonder

The church is open all day but avoid the times when church services are on. Have some change ready for the light machines. Enjoy!
