This is a larger than usual campo, surrounded by restaurants (so much choice) and bars and frequented by a variety of people including academics from nearby universities and colleges. A lovely place to walk around and eat lunch or dinner

Having read up where was good for lunch we decided to go for this square and it was as good as mentioned. A nice lively square with cheaper restaurants and a good selection of options. There are fancier more expensive restaurants on the canalside down...More

This is a large campo (square) in the heart of Sata Croce. It is very popular with both locals and tourists. There are many restaurants. Not exactly cheap, but it is compared to San Marco prices. Great atmosphere at dusk and after dark.

If you want to get away from the crowds, head to this campo. It is a long, odd shaped space in Dorsoduro and is an interesting square because it is surrounded by houses from the 14th and 15th centuries. The square is full of activity...More

I always stop in Campo Santa Margherita when I'm in Venice. Gelateria Al Doge is a favorite of mine. There always seem to be a lot of students in the area. Fish vendors are there in the morning, so you get to see some "real"...More

We stumbled upon this square on our way home on our first night and returned several times, we loved it. Lively with a friendly atmosphere a little off the beaten track so prices are cheaper. It looks a little 'run down' in day light but...More

My friends and I were struggling to find some exciting nightlife in Venice until we stumbled upon Campo Santa Margherita. The square is filled with bars and students during weekend nights. I would definitely recommend having a drink there after dinner!

This is where the students hang out for coffee or a drink. It can be noisy. It is always lively. This is a rally nice square in a nice part of town.
