Visited Venice with my boyfriend in the summer. This was one of our places planned to visit. It was lovely to see and have a walk around.

The square is quite large for Venice, surrounded by the Basilica, Palace, museums cafes and shops. Nowhere to sit and relax other than a cafe. You are not allowed to sit on the steps anywhere. They have people telling you to move along. There are...More

We went during the day and late in the evening which I recommend to fully appreciate the buildings. Theres free live music thanks to the fancy restaurants. Don't sit on the stairs or you'll get told off

The square was full of things to do. The best thing we suggest is sit down in one of the coffee shops and enjoy the scenery and listen to the music. The take a stroll around and visit the nice shops around.

Great place to see the cruise ships go by in the evening, whilst enjoying a drink or two in the square.

Really a beautiful place. A must see in Venice. Problem is that everyone else wants to see it. Best answer is to go at the low tourist times, November or April. Crowds are less and you will have a much better time. Also a better...More

Beautiful square at night with 3 orchestras playing and moonlight. If you want to sit you must order a drink which is priced to pay for the entertainment

You'll need to get a bus from your airport and then a water bus from the mainland. San Marco has at least three stops very near it, and is busy until after midnight. You shouldn't struggle to get tp your hotel.

I would suggest you contact The Venice Information Centre, you may have to google to find the site, the baby carrier should not be considered a bag, it is a child carrier, I hope you are successful, and happy holiday.
