If you're in Courmayeur, HIKE. Then the next day, HIKE some more. It's gorgeous. The trails are well groomed. Yes, some are steep but not undoable. And we didn't use poles. We did have good hiking boots which I recommend. We hiked to Rifugio Elisabetta...More

If you like hiking provide yourself with a very good map. Signposts are missing or wrong or hidden. The signpost for Monzino hut i.e. simply doesn't exist. And the same for many others paths

I walked through the stunning Val Veny as part of the TMB trek. It is well worth the effort. Stunning mountain scenery. Close to Courmayer.

Val Veny is stunning you really appreciate the scale of the mountains from close up, with the river running through and the sheer sides of the mountains it is reminiscent of the rockies.
