Incredibly rude, rip offs, terrible food & wine, and they don't even give you a receipt... I've been living in Milan for 2 years and always wanted to try it out but kept hearing terrible reviews. We decided to finally give it a try and by chance there was a band as well. So we reserved a table for 4, 25 euros fixed menu (including a first course, a second course, unlimited wine, water, and coffee). 1. When we get there, it's full of mosquitoes because they haven't done any treatments even though it's all open air. 2. The food was really bad in the sense that it was almost too obviously done with the cheapest ingredients. The portions were also incredibly small so we all ended up leaving quite hungry still. 3. Towards the end of the dinner I ordered another bottle of wine and they snapped at me: "but that's too much!". I honestly thought it was sarcasm because this never happened to me with fixed menus (and to be perfectly honest for 25-30 euros you get an appetizer plate of cold cuts, a first course, a second course, desert, unlimited wine, water, coffee, and after dinner digestives...and it always ends up being a monstrous amount of food so you usually can't even finish the dinner and have to take doggy bags. So this "too much" business is complete bull). Then I try ordering another one and they tell me that I had to now start paying for the bottle...WHAT? Then when I did buy a bottle because I just wanted to have a good time with my friends, at some point they came to the table to take away the bottle saying "we have to clean up everything now" and I was like "i bought this bottle you don't get to touch it" so the response was: hurry up then. 4. During dinner they brought an envelope to the table and told us to put the cash in it so, 25x4=100. We placed the cost of our fixed menu dinner in the envelope, a woman came to pick it up, but no one came back with a receipt. The place was FULL and I honestly don't know how much they got away with evading all types of tax. I never write reviews because even if the food isn't great in a place I'm OK with it - but the way they treat you here while shamelessly ripping you off just drove me absolutely nuts! So there is my two cents...
