We did a private waking tour with Sara Cerri learning all about art history. It was a 4 hour trip starting with the Teatro alla Scala, hitting the highlights of the Brera, Castle Sforza, and ending at the Last Supper. My eight year old daughter is a big fan of Leonardo da Vinci and Sara really engaged her to learn all about Leonardo as both an inventor and master artist. I couldn’t believe how much we all learned! It was a true highlight of our 4 days in Milan and something I’ll never forget! Her tour through the Brera was especially wonderful. Her background as an art historian really shown through. We learned a ton about the evolution of perspective in art, the use of light and different compositions. It was just what I was hoping for!!

We joined a 3hour walking tour outside the Duomo. It gave us an overview of the central district of Milan which was much better than the hop on/hop off bus which we joined a day or so later. Our trip concluded with a visit to The Last Supper which was the highlight of the day for me. We retraced our steps the next day and visited La Scala and the small Leonardo da Vinci museum. I would recommend the walking tour, especially If you only have a day or two to explore Milan.

I cannot begin to tell you how pleased with how Sara conducted her business and how wonderful our guide (for 4 hours in the rain), Ilaria was. Her knowledge was wonderful and her enthusiasm was contagious! Be sure to have them get your "last Supper" tickets - made our lives so easy!!! This tour is worth every penny and I definitely recommend it!!!!

We have traveled extensively and normally try to do everything on our own with a lot of advanced planning and reading. After spending 4 hours with Sara Cerri, I've learned it's worth it to hire her for a private tour rather than trying to do it on your own. There is a reason Rick Steves highly recommends her! She has you experiencing Milan more than just learning dry facts. She was happy to change plans as befit the weather and worked with me from the start to customize our time together to emphasize areas which interested us. You will not regret booking with Walking Tour Milano especially if you get a chance to spend your time with Sara.

Our group of four was expertly guided through the many historic sites of Milan. Sara is a knowledgeable educator who makes Milan’s history come alive with her enthusiasm for her home town. She, also, made an excellent suggestion for a traditional Milanese restaurant. Lucinda and Dick
