The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Pretty sight
Beautiful architecture
Best to grab tickets online for a discount and to skip queues as you don’t want to be stuck in heat if you’re going at peak times

Quite covered by the modern buildings
Jan 2018 • Solo
Halfway up the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, is this immense church dating to the 19th century. It is mostly covered by the modern buildings which were built all around it during the last century. The great façade is still visible and the interior is a large round room, typical of the neoclassical period

Pretty church
Oct 2018 • Couples
This is a pretty church in a busy shopping district. It was a quiet escape from the pedestrian traffic on Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

It contains several very nice altars in the chapels.

Beautiful old church from the 17th century, right off the main shopping corso in Milan. Sant'Ambrogio Carlo al Corso is a basilica church in Rome, Italy, facing onto the central part of the Via del Corso. The apse of the church faces across the street, the Mausoleum of Augustus on Via di Ripetta

A neoclassical church, just a few blocks from the Duomo
Oct 2016 • Couples
San Carlo al Corso is a Neo-Classical structure built on the site of a previous church, Santa maria dei Servi, which dated back tio the 13th century. The current church was completed in 1847 and consecrated as part of the Milan archdiocese. In 1938 it was elevated to the level of Basilica by Pius XI. The facade impresses by its classical colonnade whuich faces la Piazza del Corso. On top, there is a large dome, which also gives the shape to the church below. The altar is of impressive proportions and surrounded by beautiful marble sculptures. The ceiling of the apse offers lovely frescoes while that of the dome is amply decorated with stucco work and stone carvings. Other large marble sculptures decorate the walls and there is a gorgeous pulpit to the right side of the church

Unespectedly Amazing Interior
Feb 2017 • Family
Most of the people just walk past this magnificent church while shopping in Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II. The church has really amazing huge dome built under strong influence of Pantheon in Rome. Do not miss to see its grandness.

Beautiful church
Dec 2016 • Couples
This basilica is not that old by Milan standards only being constructed in 1847. It has been built in a neoclassical style and is very beautiful inside. It does't have the over the top gaudy decorations you see in some churches especially from the renaissance period but it is the architecture itself with the addition of many small statues that makes it attractive.

Best coffee in the whole world!!!
Oct 2016
You have to try this!!! It's called "Caffè Estivo", it's basically a delicious espresso with whipped milk!! Yes, you read right: whipped! It's not the usual milk foam, the milk is actually whipped and the result is a thick, creamy (almost like some sort of cheese cream) textured layer!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!! They have other varieties of coffee too and lots of delicious pastries and sandwiches as well!!! You GOTTA try this place!!!!

Beautiful Basilica

Decorated almost entirely by statues. There are around 100 sculptures, although I did not count them.

Outstanding!

Outstanding food and service. Home style cooking in a laid back location at the hart of the action. What won my vote was the staff hospitality that makes you feel like a regular.
