I like museums where I learn things I never knew. I didn't know much about Mr. Volta other than his name gave us the words 'volt' and 'voltage'. So this was an interesting museum -- and in a beautiful building. It's easy to pop in...More

This place is a must-visit for science-historians and those who wish to know about the development/invention of electricity. It is a tribute to Volta. For young students of science, too, a visit to this place would be an enriching experience.

Entrance is just 2 euros, but the museum is essentially a couple of show cases with old electric and other instruments used by Volta. If you are not an engineer or a science historian, this museum has very little to offer.

Stumbled upon the temple to Alessandro Volta while walking around Cpmo. Interesting building and exhibits related to his investigations and discoveries of all things electrical. Well worth the minimal admission fee.

Brill. I'm an electrical engineer by profession and qualification and found this fascinating, Wonderful old exhibits which should interest you even if you're not an engineer. 240V mains-volts-worth. Highly recommended.

arguable that the count was the real inventor of the battery but that apart it was interesting and worth a look.
