It is 52 meters high and the only privately owned tower still standing. In 1877 it was donated to the town by the then owners and now houses and information center on the ground floor.

The Tower is only open to the public on Monday's and needs to be booked in advance at the tourist information office which is in the same building as the tower. You need to be reasonably fit as you have to climb 263 very narrow...More

You don't get much for free these days, but book ahead and you can get fantastic views over Bergamo for just that-zilch! The bottom of the tower is currently uses as the tourist bureau, speakers very fluent in English which helps non-Italian speakers like me....More

But it's a long way up if you are not fit! Friendly guide. You need to book in advance in tourist office as numbers are limited to 10 per visit. Plenty of time at the top to look at 360* panorama and take photos.
