As pretty much every Basilica in Italy you should be expecting for it to have lots of gold, impressive ceilings and paintings - that's the case here.

All i can say is thats its a must see, the architecture and brilliant panting of the cathedral ceilings and walls are stunning Worth the visit but bring comfortable walking shoes to visit
