We loved this street in Genoa with its fresh food markets and vegetable stands tucked back behind the street, along with all the quaint clothing shops and cafes where we ate fresh croissants and drank cafe au lait. You must stroll down both sides to...More

At number 14 of Via XX Settembre there is Palazzo dei Giganti built in 1906 in Art Nouveau style. On the façade there are four pairs of telamons (the masculine equivalent of the caryatids) that support four pairs of paired columns.

Amazing shopping road in the heart of Genova. Beautiful paleces, Brignole station down and Piazza Deferrari on the top. Easy to reach.

While walking along this magnificent arched shopping passage, the floors are covered in art as well. From ancient dolphins to intertwining designs... the mosaic tiles are really worth stopping and appreciating

Just strolling down the Via XX Settembre is lovely, taking in the atmosphere, and the locals doing there day to day walk. Lovely shops, and you can go off the side streets, and explore.

Not sure as we have not visited on a Sunday. Given that many are fairly large stores I would assume they are.
