About
After passing through an enchanting "tunnel of wonders", visitors will find themselves in the great exhibition room, furnished with six great "store-cupboards", six super-sized albums to browse through, showing the entire history of the picture-card. Each store-cupboard-come-album, reflects a particular part of its history, told through both original prints and objects, giving a total of around 2,500 items.

Full of material but not well exhibited

I really liked the theme and the visit, specially because of the reduced entry for students, but I think the ways the exhibition works is a little tiring since we have to open every single panel to see the figurines.

Unique collection
Nov 2017 • Family
This collection consists of ephemera mostly used to promote businesses. It includes commemorative stickers from sporting events, little 8-page calendars from the early 20th century, luggage labels, cigarette cards, ornate food wrappers, etc. It was originally a private collection, and given or bequeathed to the city some years ago. I have never seen anything like it anywhere else, and it is well worth an hour or so of the visitor's time. Free entry.

Well presented

An odd but interesting museum covering post cards and similar cards. Probably more meaningful to locals as sections on local products and football a bit difficult to interpret. Not much english guidance but the pictures tell the story.

Small, but perfectly formed

This isn't really a museum, more a very large room in Modena's library/cultural centre. It's also not open very often, mostly weekends. What it does do, very comprehensively, is tell the story of collectible stickers and trading cards, especially focusing on the Panini company, based in Modena, and particularly famous for its football World Cup sticker books.

If, like me, you swapped your way through one album after another as a kid, then this is a place of pilgrimage. It won't detain you long, but it's well worth tracking down.

Only for italian speakers

It is a one hall museum, free entrance, very instructive. Themes and ideas has logic. I think it is appropiate for children over 8 years old and, of course for adults who are interested on this topic.
With my very poor Italian and a dictionary I managed to get the ideas in the written texts.
The banner outside is confusing because it lays on the bottom of another entrance, not the one for Museo della Figurina.

Vey interesting

It is interesting where one can see thousands of old cigarette cards, coupons, picture cards and the famous 'Panini' collection.
A must see museum.
