About 1/3 of the way between the Bologna Train Station & Neptune's Fountain so it's an ideal place to stop for a break!
This was a convenient little place just across the traffic lights from our hotel. It was convenient for my husband to grab some beers here while waiting for me to arrive from an excursion off the bus which pulled up on the opposite corner. The following day we stopped in for drinks together. The bartender was a very nice fellow. They can make simple mixed drinks and have a decent range in their bar. We had drinks and coffee. They had delectable looking food items in their display, but we had other plans for dinner so we didn’t eat here. There is seating inside and also on the pavement, though the chairs are on the small side and abit uncomfortable so it’s not ideal for sitting on for 2 hours, but I don’t think they really want that anyway. It’s a cool little place to relax and it seemed popular with the locals as it’s about a third of the way between the train station and Neptune’s fountain, so it’s an ideal spot for a little break during that lengthy walk.…

Stopped here for a quick coffee and pastry. Service was quick and coffee good. Pastries were not quite as fresh as other places but still good value.

Stopped in for a glass of prosecco. Ended up staying for 2 and a great conversation with the bartender. Ended up stopping there every day on our walk back to our hotel. What a fun place. Very nice to us tourists.

We had espresso and croissants each day of our stay in Bologna. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They have a few tables out on the pavement which are good for people watching.

This became our favourite Centro bar. All the staff were friendly & recognised us after the first visit. Coffee, Panini & brioche were always fresh & tasty. We visited there many times during our 4 weeks in Bologna, during the day & night. The service was always fast, it was always clean & tidy & staff always friendly. Some staff spoke English, not common in Bologna. Cheaper than anywhere in the Piazza Maggiore -1.40 euro cappuccino instead of 3.10euro. Great lunch/coffee break on market days & during walking around the city. Excellent gelataria next door for kids too. Perfetto!…
