We went on a free walking tour to see the Pantheon in Rome recently. Our guide Allesandra was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. She went out of her way to show our small group interesting facts and places. Though I was sceptical at first to go on a “free” walking tour I’m so glad I did. To celebrate our 20th anniversary, my wife and I treated ourselves with some great private tours of Rome. We had two different guides; and while they were each unique they were both extremely knowledgeable, pragmatic (knew where the bathroom stops were, focused on the items that were most interesting to us) and fun. Getting to jump to the front of the lines wasn’t bad either especially in peak season. :)…
