Maybe people should not complain about things like a loud trumpet, when in fact that was the show they picked, your fault not Tramjazz. You're on a streetcar or tram, not in a five star restaurant. If it was you wouldn't pay the price they would need to charge, so get over it. The complaint I read about Rome being dirty, when this person gets home maybe they should look around and see if their city is over 2000 years old. We did this venue in 2016 and are going back to Rome in 2020 and intend to do it again,

Cozy, renovated tram, but we were not satisfied. For the price of 70€ per person I would have expected something more. The food was poor, mainly it tasted like it was defrosted and heated up in a microwave. Of course I get it that it's a tram and you cannot cook a five course menu in it, but maybe they could've made a deal with some local restaurants and pick up food during the ride? Or just make it fresh on the day and not days before... Wine was okay and you got enough of it, but at first the staff didn't believe me when I tried to signal them that I got much less sparkling wine than the others on our table. Their website description is also misleading as you couldn't get any beer anywhere. Maybe we would have enjoyed the ride more if we had had our own two person table, but instead now we shared the table with an elder couple who didn't speak English or any other language we know, so the three hour ride was really awkward. Maybe a chance to pair you up with other people who speak the same language would be nice. Also, as the name suggests, we expected some jazz music to make the evening more pleasant but instead there was some traditional Italian music coming from a cd most of the time and a singer guitarist duo to perform live similar music when we stopped. The route was also a bit of a disappointment, although we got the see the Colosseum nicely light in the evening. Other than that the tram stopped in the middle of a dark bush (where you could see the Colosseum a bit if you got out), then drove through some neighbourhoods and got closer to the city again. All in all the tram stopped three times for 25-35 minutes at a time, and during the stops there was the live performance. In my opinion the tram stood still too long, so the stops could've been shorter and the whole ride could take just something like two hours. No chance for a toilet break anywhere either. So, all in all I was not impressed with the quality as we paid 140€ for it. The idea seems great though but the whole experience needs a lot of improvements to make me try this again. The staff weren't particularly helpful towards us when we spoke no Italian so it made us feel like we missed some things, for example, the descriptions of food. Sadly also the driver seemed really fed up with the job and in the end started smoking inside the tram.

We ordered tickets and hope to hear back that our reservation was accepted. We were charged via PayPal but no further contact from Tram Jazz. We tried to contact Tram Jazz by telephone and email before leaving from the US and now while in Rome, with no return contact. We're hoping they contact us via Facebook Messenger or somehow now for this Friday's event.

This was unlike anything else we did in our week in Rome. Relaxing to live music as we drove around Rome at night was delightful (around 9pm to midnight). Add to this copious amounts of wine served by very pleasant staff and a filling meal (not the highlight but not bad considering the facilities they had- we mainly came for the music anyway) and we were very happy. Lovely idea.

A bit of a let-down, I'm afraid, after all the good reviews. Maybe we just got it on a bad night. Food was average at best, waiters lacked any sort of charisma, musicians seemed to just be there for the free wine, although they were good. It was very overpriced to spend half the evening travelling the outskirts of Rome and then parked up at a tram terminus while a jazz CD played.
