Beautiful place

It’s Rome. I can’t give it less than five stars. Used to live close by and walk around this area. Loved the view. It’s like a museum in my opinion. I would just stop and watch it. I made so much memories.

This guided tour added to the Roman Empire story!
May 2020 • Friends
The combo tour ticket with the Colosseum and guided tour allowed us to see more details of the ancient Roman landscape. This visit only added to the experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and excited about educating guests!

This was done on a guided tour which I would highly recommend. The guide was Italian and was absolutely fantastic. I learnt more about the history in one hour than in the 4 years at school.

Right shoes
Feb 2021
We always have at least three different footwear in our bag all the time when we go to New place. We recommend you bring non-Instagrammable but comfortable shoe as the climb up those stones on wrong footwear could ruin your vacation here.

The history teaches us many lessons, we are not invincible, many things that we consider as great can become dust in course of time... But it is always good to build and create, not just buildings, but human relationships which can have deeper impacts to change the course of history

Good Views

Great place to sit and absorb Rome, you really need a full day to take it all in. The signs are ok, but to get the best experience have a guide. You need to use your imagination to think what the place was like nearly 3000 years ago. Uneven surfaces and some steep inclines, so wear some comfortable shoes. Great views overlooking the city

Center of Ancient Empire
Feb 2020
Although the overall place is not that well maintained, but sufficiently allows the imagination of such center’s original state. The overall location is pretty allowing the visit of too many attractions starting with the Colosseum, the forum, pillars, ruins, and arcs within a limited area.

Special ticket for House of Augustus and Livia
Feb 2020
Having visited the Palatine Hills previously I was always sad how few things you could in fact see usually, although it has been known that spectacular sites existed, but they had not been open for a while. This has changed in 2019 and 2020, when several sights, like the Casa di Augusto, Casa di Livia, the Domus Transitoria or another Renaissance Loggia can be now seen when you get your super ticket. After mandatory reservations you get tours of these places (unfortunately suspended at the moment, let's hope mid of 2021 it might be possible again). Those offer spectacular frescoes, remains of ancient floors, and also some backstory of how the Imperial palaces evolved, particularly in the early years of the Roman Empire.
