Just to advise people who are staying closer to Central Rome, don’t come up al the way to Aventino Hill to check on that hole! Aventino is more of a Gardens, Basilicas and it’s exceptional view!!! Those are the reasons I chose to stay close...More

It took us years, when we discovered this fantastic view. If you are lucky there are not too many people, so you can take excellent photos.

When you see through this keyhole, you will find a perfect alignement of San Pietro Basilica. It is doable by day or by night. If you're around, it's definitely worth checking it and waiting in "a quick moving" line. If not, plan some other attractions...More

If there's one hidden gem it's this in Rome...you can peek thru the tiny little keyhole and see St.Peters Dome. You'll see everyone trying to get there picture.
