This is a rather small fountain, and easily missed. Unlike other fountains of Rome which are usually bigger and more opulent, this is a fountain of bees. The water flowing out from the mouth of the bees.

As you walk around Rome keep your eyes open for this fountain as it is a beautiful and could be overlooked due to being rather small. Originally made as a water source for horses. Near the entrance to the metro.

Walking the streets of Rome we seem to be on a find the Bernini sculptures tours. Compared to his other works this one seems quite plain in contrast. However, quite beautiful in its own right, we especially like the bees.

It was surprising to find this fountain at Barberini Square. The design is unique but not really attractive. It survived 300+ years so it deserves some credit.

Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and
Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a
posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and
models while bored housewives hung out in streetside
cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the
cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to
five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law
