Pompeii Ruins & Mt Vesuvius Volcano Day Trip from Rome

4,447 reviews
While vacationing in Rome, spend time away from the big city without doing a ton of planning on a guided tour of Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. Hike to Mt. Vesuvius' crater (summer only) and explore Pompeii with a guide, discovering lesser-known historical info as you go, and don’t worry about entrance fees they are included.

This vila had the best vestibule/atrium of all the vilas. The water feature as well as wall paintings were beautiful. Sadly, many of the paintings are starting to degrade.

The House of P. Casca Longus, which is located on the Via dell'Abbondanza, is also known as the Casa dei Quadretti Teatrali. This is a typical home of wealthy Pompeii residents, lavishly arranged with a fountain in the middle of the building that served as cooling. Exceptionally beautiful frescos with motifs of theatrical characters, beautiful drawings. Also, and this house has a rich history and nice it is to know. The house owes its name to the inscription borne by the trapezoid, that is the statues that support the table, and probably belonged to that Casca Longus who was one of the protagonists in the conspiracy which led to the assassination of Caesar.
