We booked the Campania express for a return trip to Naples IN ADVANCE. It cost €30 for two of us. We arrived at the train with nearly 10 minutes until departure to be told the train was full. We specifically booked seats on this train...More

Campania express works as follows: It is as standard direct line. As tourist, you pay 8 instead of 4 euros. They let you -as tourist- enter the train first (open ome door) . Hereafter, the Locals enter the train for lower rate. So train is...More

After reading and hearing from others how stressful and unsafe taking the Circumvesuviana train was from Napoli to Sorrento, I began looking for alternatives. I looked at taking the ferry, but that was fairly expensive. I thought about a private service or cab, but that...More

Tim F, Not sure which site you were on, but there IS an English option... it is represented by the English flag... I booked mine online. Just watch the dates, it needs to be US format, entered manually, then works. At Napoli station, there are...More

If you have luggage and are flexible with your travel times, the Campania Express is definitely the way to travel to Sorrento from Naples. It is air conditioned and there is plenty of space for luggage and is not crowded. It has a limited timetable...More

We just boarded the express, we had booked reserved seats. Was told by the hostess to find a seat, as train was packed. Totally disorganised, there was only one hostess managing a 100 passengers or more.

All you need to do is look up and follow the signs to where the Circumvesuviana trains are. It is signposted and easy enough to follow. Google YouTube and you will find a video that actually shows how easy it is!
