great place for lunch with people watching
Oct 2019
We had lunch there recently and the atmosphere is very nice and also casual and service was great. The restaurant location is away from the main street but is on a busy corner and great for people watching. The restaurant was very busy which shows it is a popular place. We shared a cannelloni and it was delicious.

"ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!"

Located on the corner of a busy alley near the clock tower and Piazzo Tasso sits this gorgeous building with it breath-taking colorful frescoes. On certain days you will find some elderly gentlemen sitting at the various tables playing cards.
A MUST SEE!

beautiful preserved frescoes
Sep 2018 • Couples
This building is passed by so many tourists without a second glance.
It was built in the 14th century and is where ancient nobles used to meet and discuss administrative matters.
The frescoes have been been preserved and are worthy of a view and its totally free.
It really is lovely.

Wonderful experience

The food was tasty and service was prompt. Located in a central square either interior or outside dining was available. We chose outside at one of the many tables. Diners are treated to live music every night, usually Italian opera. This dining experience was a real treat.

Sorrento trip
Aug 2018 • Couples
My partner and I visited sedil dominova on the last night of our sorrento trip. And how disappointed were we that we only found this place at this point!! Menu was vast, and surprisingly low cost. The friendly waiter (enzo i think) recommended a local wine 'fiano di avellino' and to say it was beautiful would be an understatement. And excellent value, under 20euro. I had the meat ravioli and my partner had a pizza. The portions were just the perfect size to leave you full and satisfied, without feeling bloated. Just how you'd picture a quaint Italian restaurant with frescoes on the walls and ceilings. Located amongst some beautiful smelling leather shops, this was a real treasure in sorrento.

On a main thoroughfare

This is easy to pass by as it sits on the corner of a crossroads on a busy street in the town. When you do notice it you can see the beautiful frescos adorning the walls and entrance. It is usually locked up with some older gentlemen sitting outside playing card or board games. I am sure that it has a fascinating history.

Beautiful Frescoes
May 2018 • Couples
On a seriously touristy street in the centre of Sorrento, this impressive 15th century palazzo has a front terrace, open to the street, with exquisite but somewhat faded frescoes on two of the walls.

Originally a meeting point for the town's medieval aristocracy, it is now a working man's club where elderly (non-working!) men meet to play cards and board games, seemingly oblivious to the hordes of tourists photographing around them.
