The castle has an interesting history which is well explained in signs around the complex. Of particular interest was the hamman baths which were exhibited halfway up the climb to the top of the castle. Although slightly steep, the climb to the top is not...More

If you take the official taxi tour to the Rock you'll see the Moorish Castle. It's a magnificent structure, and if you view it from Ocean Village, it has a lovely image when lit up at night. Steeped in history, it's well worth a visit,

The views from the top of the tower are great; we were there on a clear day, though it was quite windy. The interior is mostly stairs and a few empty rooms and small windows. There is a mini-pond near the entrance - a cute...More

Nice views, but that's it. It's not well kept and there isn't really nothing "interesting" to see. It is woth a visit if it's included in the general ticket, but not if you have to pay for it separately.

The Castle complex is ancient so worth a nod to history but we walked up and it was quite a walk. Would think it would be best as part of a tour. certainly not sorry we visited.

Previous reviews made us skeptical but we weren't at all disappointed when we got there. The building was sturdy and ancient and the views and arches were really neat. Monkeys were hanging out at the ticket booth and drinking from the pond which was also...More

The Moorish Castle is beleived to be around 1 000 years old, which is impressive in itself. There were remainings of old baths in there and the walls were really thick. The view from the top terrass was nice. We were lucky because an airplane...More

Very interesting site and lots of information posted throughout the site. The renovation of this castle has made it accessible and allows visitors to see what it was like in the past. The views from the roof are spectacular, in particular to watch airplanes landing...More
