The cable car is efficient and a fast way to the top but the pricing is confusing. As an oap I paid more for my tickets not less ! Even the staff complained about the pricing confusion.

Pricy. Stoney faced ticket office lady. No help or wardens for the very aggressive apes. Very long walk down would suggest cable car down as well as up.

So in terms of the Gibraltar cable car- it does what's expected. It takes you up to the top of 'the rock". The cars are a tad on the older side and as I was smushed in, both on the way up and down, I...More

I expected the cable car to be much bigger than it is for some reason. It could be original but I don't know. It runs regularly every 10-15 mins. There were about 10 people on it when we went up and was just about full....More

A little pricey but well worth it. Also worth paying the extra £2 for return trip as it’s a long walk back! Nice coffee at the restaurant at the top too.

If you visit Gibraltar, of course you will go to the top of the Rock! While you can take a tour bus to go up, the better option is to take the cable car which takes just 6 minutes to the top. But a vital...More

This is the easiest way to get to the top of the rock where you can get a magnificent view of the harbor, town Spain and on a clear day the coast of Africa. Recommend buying tickets on-line ahead of schedule to avoid long lines....More

If you arrive by cruise you can walk to the cable car. Follow the line out of the port and continue under the tunnel that reads “Grand Casemates Gates.” Continue on along Main Street and you will eventually see the building that houses the cable...More

So glad we went on the cable car. Fantastic views at the top of course. Nice cafe as well. Not many monkeys there so take a short walk along the downward road and they are all there. Walk a little further and there is a...More

On a good clear day, the views are spectacular. You have 360 degree views and, if you are on a cruise ship, great photo opportunity of her berthed nearby. A bit pricey and watch out for the cheecky monkeys.

Absolutely not, my partner does not like heights but simply looks straight ahead rather than down, she still enjoys some magnificent views of the mountain and harbour without the fear, unlike some cable cars we have used... More

Not an easy question to answer I’m afraid. It all depends on the direction of the wind. The worst wind for the Cable Car is a strong south westerly. It can be blowing a strong easterly abs we’ll stay open as we are protected... More
