This is a great beach. No crowds, and the town is very laid back and peaceful. Makes a great day trip.

Quiet, traditional Basque Country coastal village. Would be a 10 out of 10 but weather was poor and not many things to do when it's wet. Great beach

If you are traveling in the Basque Country (and you should), you should make a few stops in between the big cities and Mundaka is one of them , even if you don't surf. The views are so nice and the people are extremely friendly, the beach is gorgeous and it is definitely worth spending a day there. If you do surf, maybe even a few :)

Our private tour driver, Mikel ("Meekell") of Tours By Basques (see the TBB review elsewhere in TA) brought us to Mundaka for photos and lunch. The photo ops were excellent, but the weather sucked! Despite the rain, we enjoyed this little fishing town and had lunch at a delightful cafe right by Mundaka's picture-perfect little harbor. The food was tasty, the views nice, and the photo ops plentiful. Scenic town with cobblestones, cute apartments, etc. Nice place to visit.
