Alcazar of Seville Early Access with Optional Seville Cathedral

416 reviews
For a relatively crowd-free experience of the Alcázar of Seville, opt for an early-access tour. By entering the UNESCO World Heritage Site before it opens to the public, you avoid long lines and take crowd-free photos of the landmark’s gorgeous interior. Plus, visit parts of the complex that conventional tours don’t. Upgraded package includes a line-free exploration of Seville Cathedral and Giralda Tower.

Basilica de la Macarena is one amazing building! We visited briefly but on the day of our visit the place was dark, perhaps that is normal. The amount of gold is amazing in this church, as it is in so many others. The church was built in the 1940s, and is one of the most important in Seville. There are some interesting statues inside, and the most important is the Statue of the Virgin of Hope of Macarena. The statue is adorned with a golden crown, jewels, and diamond brooches. Worth a visit!

The Macarena is probably one of the best well-known churches in Seville. I was curious about it and I don’t regret having gone there but the church, apart from being searched by the devotees, it is not a major work of art. I advise you to go there if you are in the nearby, but not to change your trip plan only to go there. Enjoy!

This is a highlight of any visit to Sevilla and one that I had been wanting to make for years. It's in a very attractive area where you can gift shop, have a fine meal etc.

We visited Church of Macarena on our own. Very significant church in Seville. The Macarena is a very important figure to the people of Seville. The museum should not be missed.

This is a church dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza aka La Macarena . She can be seen above the altar of this 1940’s basilica dedicated to her.
