Casa de Pilatos is a good example of extravagant living! This 15th century palace is actually a "living residence", so visitors are fortunate that they are allowed, at the price of a ticket, to enter and admire this beautiful complex. The architecture is wonderful. There are a myriad of amazing tiled surfaces. Visiting the upstairs is only possible with a (strict) guide in Spanish, but we received information sheets in English, so we did not miss out on the information. However no photos were allowed. Moorish and Roman architecture with impressive Roman statues. The tile work is beautiful and so are the gardens. One of the top sites to see in Seville.

Some great history here and a beautiful place to spend some time. Cost of entry includes an audio guide giving tons of information. Entry to the upper floor is by guided tour only. My guide Daniel was enthusiastic, interesting and very knowledgeable. A very enjoyable visit.
