Alhambra and Generalife Small-Group Guided Tour in Granada. Skip the line

Granada’s Alhambra limits its daily visitor numbers, so booking ahead is advisable. Plus, exploring the UNESCO-protected complex alone risks missing out on little-known gems and details. This tour gives you it all—a guide to explain the highlights; tours of the Nasrid Palaces and Generalife; priority entry to skip the ticket lines; plus headphones and a smaller-than-average group size so you hear and see more as you explore.

Wow - we were blown away by the gardens of this lesser known museum in Granada. It is situated close to the Alhambra and well worth a visit. Our guide William was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and took delight in surprising us with the eclectic mix of architecture and detail that the gardens and tunnels had to offer. We visited simply because a ticket was included within our Alhambra package but we were so pleased that we had taken the time to do so. Keep up the great William - you are a star!

It was a very wet morning on our last day in Granada so we decided to take a taxi up the hill to investigate the bold white house we'd seen from the Alhambra a few days earlier. So glad we did. We paid 4euros each and were given a guided tour by the very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, Guillermo. There is a collection of early Christian art collected from monasteries as they were closing mid 19th century, artefacts that were excavated and some good 19th century paintings. Then we were taken around the garden which has a stunning setting even on a very wet day. The architecture of the "Carmen" is most interesting and its location absolutely amazing. Don't miss this gem.

We came here purely because it was a joint ticket with our Alhambra entrance and although we have been fortunate to go there a number of times over the years we had never been to the Fundacion. Our visit turned out to be a “private and personalised “one(around 50 minutes)as apart from a separate educational visit by a Spanish group we were the only visitors and had an excellent visit with “William “who spoke perfect English and was extremely knowledgable. The building, gardens and underground tunnels coupled with information about the artist’s life and culminating with an all too brief visit to the art collection is definitely worth the trip.Surprisingly few people seem to have cottoned on to this.

We found this by chance really but what a fascinating building full of quirky features with unexpected links to the wider history of the city. There is some interesting art to see but the experience is so much more than this so the expert and enthusiastic guided tour is highly recommended to all !

If you love dramatic and theatrical architecture this is the place for you. The house-studio as well as the iconic courtyards and terraces are a collection of different and very suggestive styles, creating a very intriguing atmosphere. The underground galleries are also part of the tour which last approx 45 min. The guide, Guillermo, is very knowledgeable and friendly, making the visit very pleasant. Highly recommended!!! PLEASE NOTE: The Foundation can only be seen with a guided tour.
