The big size of this park is great for afternoon walks if you want to escape city life for a bit. You will find a few monuments, statues and small bridges. Nothing to fancy but very relaxing and peaceful

A lovely park, very clean and big enough to spend a whole day wandering. Features like the Romanisches haus and Goethe's Gartenhaus make it a little more interesting than an average park.

This is a great park -- probably the nicest park I've seen. It follows the Ilm, and is a short walk from the center of the old town (perhaps 200 meters), with numerous smaller areas separated by landscaping. There are vistas, relaxing benches in ones...More

Well laid out, beautiful park. Great for walking, jogging, thinking, picnics and even yoga in the summer

One of the nicest parks in Germany I have seen, though we had a wonderful weather and that also has had an effect on the experience. A lot of interesting houses, mostly Goethe's Gardenhouse, its garden can be seen for free. Really lovely visit!

we didn't go in to the Goethe Gartenhaus but had a lovely walk (it was a really hot day) - great contrast to the town

This is a lovely park that seems to be popular with locals and tourists alike. It is very big and you can spend a whole afternoon just wandering around. It is a nice place for a picnic.

Someone (sadly I can't remember who) said that Weimar was more of a town within a park than a town with park. The park is easily accessible from the attractive old quarter and an extremely pleasant place to spend an hour - or all day...More
