as far as it is cemetery then it is quite enough to be alone and think about your past or future, i was there many times in winter and with snow it became so dramatic but nice

Walked up hill down dale and couldn't find it. There are park plans at either end of the park but neither mention it's location. Research it before setting off is our advice. It's a pity it's though out of sight out of mind.

Most of the Park an der Ilm is very romantic with lovely views, real and fake ruins and little monuments. But the 'Ehrenfriedhof' for the Russian soldiers killed during World War II brings back the reality of that cruel 20th century. Surprisingly enough, some graves...More
