The Holstentor is a gate from the 15th century. A landmark of Lubeck at the edge of the old town. It's a must see if one visits Lubeck.

I went to Lübeck with my friend for a short visit. As soon as you arrive the centre of Lübeck, you see this beautiful building. It is very unique and definitely worth taking a look at. The garden around this building is also very refreshing.

Fantastic entrance to Lubeck. Nice to sit in the gardens in front and marvel as to why it is still standing given the sinking of the building!

The historic gate houses a trade, shipping, fishing, and weapons collection. Displays are hands-on interactive, great for kids.

Near the tourist office on the west side of town, this icon presents with many photo ops. By 1700's this was the middle western gate for the west entrance into the city.

Nice gate, good place to take photos. There are small 'gardens' on one side and the city on another. Didnt get to visit the museum.

The place you have to go and have to take the picture. Old towers with great gate and very picturesque and it's a popular tourist spot.

We went in to see the museum and wasn’t disappointed. Also good to cool down in hot summer day it was when we visited. Have maps and miniature model of city what brilliantly helps to understand how the city looked when build

Yes, take your time and make 30 minute trip to Lübeck, to see an old, leading Hanseatic town on the 17th Century. This old city state is impressive with its old buildings, churches and gobble stone streets.
