A lovely gallery. The exhibition was highly informative and all the written stuff was also displayed in flawless English. The cafe is rudimentary and there are practically no retail opportunities. The lavatories are impeccable like everywhere else we went. I suspect the state has been...More

For a small town like Kiel the Art museum is a decent place to visit. And if the museum is a disappointment, right across is access to the Kiellinie, a great pedestrian street by the water.

Super huge museum for a city size. Beautiful building. Interesting exhibitions and super small shop and bar. Great if you are interested in German painting. A huge hall with antique copies.

The collection of copies from Egyptian and Greek statues did not appeal to us, but the potteries and small collectibles in the same room were interesting. Also, the atelier for children was welcoming.

I was really surprised by the size of the Museum. Kiel is not a very big city and having a roomy Museum like this. They have some respectable work inside, also a lot of experimental works and shows. A lot of space is available for...More

As we are not any true 'art lovers' we went through the gallery quite quickly but I would say its collection was quite huge (considering the size of Kiel) and well installed (thinking about natural light etc.) There is also a workshop place where you...More

After a nice walk along the canal you can stop at this gallery. The staff are very nice and helpful. The art is a mix of antiquities and local artists. It is quite small but still worthvthe visit.
